Finding the Chutzpah to Live in this Meshugganah World: Courage through Inversions, A workshop

We are living in a time of uncertainty. A time when we may feel off balance, ungrounded and turned around. This workshop will help negotiate the discomfort and honor these feelings. We will examine ways find “normal” even when we are challenged by change and disorientation.

On our yoga mats we will create of a safe space in which we can confront what may make us feel more scared and uncertain. For many of us, inversions and arm balances are the epitome of uncertainty. Through an aligned and centered practice we will gain confidence to move into those poses that make us feel topsy-turvy; perhaps finding that despite the uncertainty we can hold true to ourselves and move more assuredly through the world.

Having a sense of faith and spirituality, trusting in God/the universe, also provides solace and bolsters us to find balance and ease during these times of turmoil. My hope is that this workshop will help you realize that you can land gracefully, feel grounded and centered during disorienting times. This is a 2.5 hour workshop during which we will mostly be moving on our mats. Some yoga knowledge will enhance the experience.

I recommend props such as blocks and a strap to enhance your practice. Most importantly, you will need some space at a wall to support your practice as we turn ourselves inside-outside-upside down.
