SHABBHAKTI: PRAYER IN MOTION

Do you find yourself longing for a greater sense of spirituality? Are you questioning how to tap into the place within you that is your divinity?

In an age where more and more people feel removed from traditional religion, we may find ourselves craving deeper connection to God and our own Divine Spirit. Shabbhakti is a way into that connection. It is a physical and devotional practice that helps us manifest the universal tenets of the Torah, the Old Testament. While the themes are steeped in Biblical teaching anyone and everyone from any religion, or none at all, can find a connection to their spiritual center through this alignment-based asana practice. In fact, these teachings and tenets are found in all major religions and are what unifies rather than divides us.

During this workshop, we will come together in movement, mantra, and meditation to reawaken the universal principals that define each of our connection to the broad concept of God. In community, we will find our own expression of the Divine spirit that exists within us so that we can embody it daily even, and especially, off the mat. Workshop runs between 2-3hours depending on your individual needs/goals.

Finding the Chutzpah to Live in this Meshugganah World: Courage through Inversions

We are living in a time of uncertainty. A time when we may feel off balance, ungrounded and turned around. This workshop will help negotiate the discomfort and honor these feelings. We will examine ways find “normal” even when we are challenged by change and disorientation.

On our yoga mats we will create of a safe space in which we can confront what may make us feel more scared and uncertain. For many of us, inversions and arm balances are the epitome of uncertainty. Through an aligned and centered practice we will gain confidence to move into those poses that make us feel topsy-turvy; perhaps finding that despite the uncertainty we can hold true to ourselves and move more assuredly through the world. Having a sense of faith and spirituality, trusting in Gd/the universe, also provides solace and bolsters us to find balance and ease during these times of turmoil. My hope is that this workshop will help you realize that you can land gracefully, feel grounded and centered during disorienting times.

Revelation, Standing at the Mountain: A Journey of Discovery of our Higher Selves.

Jewish tradition teaches that each of us was present when Gd was revealed at Mount Sinai. Although it was a shared experience everyone had their own unique interaction with Divinity. In a modern world, how can we access this ancient tradition? What does revelation mean? When we stand in alignment we act as divining rods for the energy of the Universe. I created this workshop to explore ways we can find our own Divinity and tap into the holiness that lies within each of us.

The Power of SHE(kinah):

Our world was birthed from the feminine aspect of G-d. She is everywhere: in us and around us. She is us, we are her. Let’s take a deep dive together what it means to be surrounded by the feminine aspect of G-d’s power. How can we manifest this feminine energy of creation and intuition in our everyday lives?

We will look to the Biblical women who have been our role models and examples. We will explore their qualities and see what it means to internalize and live in their footsteps in a contemporary world.
